Joint & Mobility Supplements for Senior Dogs

A mobility routine starts with comfortable movement, an appropriate body condition and veterinary advice when things change. A supplement can be one part of that routine; it is not a substitute for assessing pain or a new limp.

01

What to look for

Look for named ingredients, the amount per serving, allergen information and research that tested a comparable formulation. For green-lipped mussel, distinguish whole powder from extracts and multi-ingredient blends: the same scoop size does not mean the same ingredient amount.

02

Build a daily routine

Use the final package directions for your dog’s weight. Introduce one change at a time with food, note their usual walk and rising routine, and discuss medicines or shellfish allergies with your veterinarian. Compare cost per daily serving, not jar price alone.

Supplements support everyday nutrition. They do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease, or replace veterinary care. New, sudden or worsening signs need a veterinarian.
