Le HMB chez le chien : études canines et allégations commerciales
Deux jeux de données liés, issus d'une cartographie des données préenregistrée. Le premier recense les 11 enregistrements issus de 9 publications ou brevets dans lesquels des chiens ont reçu du HMB (β-hydroxy-β-méthylbutyrate) par voie orale, avec la population, le plan d'étude, la dose, la durée, les résultats et le financement. Le second reprend mot pour mot 32 allégations sur le HMB chez le chien provenant de 19 pages commerciales, avec la source citée par chacune, l'existence ou non de cette source, et la correspondance entre sa population et les chiens visés par l'allégation.
Pour les chercheurs, les vétérinaires et les lecteurs qui examinent les données publiées. Ces jeux ne regroupent pas les résultats d’efficacité et n’évaluent pas l’efficacité des produits ; le jeu HMB vérifie aussi les allégations commerciales selon les sources citées.
Ces ressources visent à faciliter l'examen des données publiées. Elles ne remplacent ni les conseils vétérinaires ni la recherche évaluée par les pairs.
L'absence d'étude chez le chien derrière un produit ne signifie pas que ce produit est inefficace. Dogevera vend elle-même un complément à base de HMB pour chiens ; sa propre page produit a été examinée en premier, selon les mêmes règles que toutes les autres pages.
Vérifié par l'auteur : l'enregistrement du résumé IAVRPT 2023 sur le HMB après chirurgie orthopédique a été vérifié par l'auteur de l'étude, le Dr Morito Ogasawara (Animal Rehabilitation Medicine Laboratory). Cette vérification porte uniquement sur cet enregistrement et ne constitue pas une approbation de Dogevera ni de ses produits.
